Case summary

A resident of Crimea. On 30 November 2023, she was given a recognisance not to abscond as part of her sentence for participation in the activities of an extremist organisation in connection with involvement in the activities of the Jehovah's Witnesses community. Representatives of this community are prosecuted as extremists solely because of their religious activities - holding gatherings and mass and recruiting new supporters. In December 2023, the case was remanded to the prosecutor's office. In May 2024, the case went back to court.
