Case summary
A resident of St. Petersburg, worked as a neurologist. In the summer of 2024, law enforcers came to his home. Shortly thereafter, he resigned from his job; later he managed to get a job as a guard at a kindergarten. On 15 October 2025, he was detained and then taken into custody on charges of spreading deliberately false information about the Russian Armed Forces and calling for activities against the security of the Russian Federation. He was informed about him by Andrei Trofimov, a resident of the Tver region who found himself in the same cell with him, who was prosecuted in two cases because of his anti-war statements and his intention to join the Freedom of Russia Legion.
