Case summary

A resident of the Tula region, a citizen of Ukraine. He was prosecuted for desecration of the symbol of military glory because of a post on VKontakte with an image of the St George's Ribbon in the form of a swastika with the Russian flag in the background. In October 2025, the court began to consider his case. On 19 November, the court sentenced him to a year and three months in a penal colony.

In April 2025, Filimonenko was arrested for 11 days under an administrative case of incitement to hatred because of a post in which he called Russian security forces fascists.
