Case summary
Resident of Shadrinsk (Kurgan region). In April 2025, criminal proceedings were initiated against him for participation in an extremist organisation due to his involvement in the Jehovah's Witnesses community. Representatives of this community are prosecuted under extremist articles solely for religious activities: meetings, joint worship services, attracting new supporters.
On 21 April Gaidyshev was detained. After interrogation, he was released on his own recognisance.
Gaidyshev has a visual first groupdisability status.
On 3 March 2026 he was sentenced to a fine of 300 thousand rubles.
