Case summary

A resident of Kurgan, a hairdresser. On 31 May 2024, her home was searched after the law enforcement officers entered her apartment under the pretext that the neighbours' apartment was allegedly on fire. She was interrogated in the case of participation in the activities of an extremist organisation in connection with the activities of the Jehovah's Witnesses community and released on her own recognizance not to leave. Representatives of this community are prosecuted under extremist articles solely because of their religious activities - holding meetings and worship services and attracting new supporters.

On 15 September 2025, the court sentenced her to a fine of 300 thousand rubles.
