Case summary
Artem Gerasimov was detained on 20 March 2019 in Yalta after a search. A criminal case has been opened against him for organising the activities of an extremist organisation. The man is accused of continuing the activities of the banned community of Jehovah's Witnesses.
On 5 March 2020 he was sentenced to a fine of 400 thousand rubles. On 4 June, the appeal court replaced the fine with six years of general regime penal colony.
