Case summary

Resident of Blagoveshchensk. In July 2018, it became known that Golik was accused of participating in the activities of an extremist organisation due to his involvement in the Jehovah's Witnesses community. Representatives of this community are prosecuted under extremist articles solely for religious activities: meetings, joint worship services, attracting new supporters. Golik was given a recognisance not to leave the country. Later it became known that he was accused of organising the activities of an extremist organisation and involvement in extremist activities.

On 30 June 2021 he was sentenced to seven years in a general regime colony. On 3 September, the appeals court dropped the charge of involvement in extremist activity and reduced the sentence by ten months. On 15 April 2025, Golik was released.
