Case summary

In May 2019, it became known that Guzev was a suspect in a case on the activities of an extremist organisation. On 18 February 2021, he was sentenced to two and a half years suspended sentence. On 13 May, the court of appeal instance confirmed the sentence. On 23 December, the cassation court quashed the verdict and returned the case to the appeal court. On 14 March 2022, the appeal court re-approved the sentence with minor changes. On 15 July, Guzev's criminal record was expunged.
