Case summary

Aivar Habibullin, former head of the procurement department of the Government of Bashkortostan, was accused of organising the activities of a cell of the organisation "Nurdzhular", the existence of which has not been proven. On 20 March 2017, he was sentenced to four years of suspended imprisonment. On 27 June, the appeal instance commuted the sentence to two years and three months in a general regime colony. He was released in August 2019.
