Case summary
Resident of Yoshkar-Ola. On 21 October 2025, he was detained in a case of organisation and participation in the activities of an extremist organisation due to his involvement in the Jehovah's Witnesses community, groundlessly recognised as an extremist organisation and banned on the territory of the Russian Federation.
On 22 October the court remanded Khlibov in custody. Ten days later, the court of appeal mitigated the measure of restraint and transferred the man to house arrest.
