Case summary

A resident of Makhachkala. On 20 April 2022, he reported to the OVD-Info hotline that he was detained and a grenade and drugs were planted on him. He links his persecution to the fact that in February he went to Red Square in Moscow with a placard in support of political prisoners and against the "kadyrovisation" of Chechnya and Russia. Then he was detained and released with a protocol on participation in an uncoordinated rally (part 5 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offences). On 24 April he was sent to a pre-trial detention centre, and in November 2022 he was sent for compulsory psychiatric treatment, having been released from criminal responsibility.
