Case summary

A resident of Ufa. He was detained on 3 September 2021. His parents claim that they could not find him for three days and all this time Bogdanov was being beaten (they wanted to make him testify against himself for a terrorism associated case). Bogdanov's father reported that his son was beaten and threatened that the authorities would detain his brothers and cause problems for his parents. Bogdanov was taken into custody. According to his father, he was held for 30 days in a punishment cell because he refused to confirm the testimony of the alleged provocateur Anton Petrov. Bogdanov was accused of creating a terrorist community, undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities, manufacturing and storing explosives and preparing to commit a terrorist act. On 16 April 2024, Bogdanov was sentenced to 18 years in a strict regime colony.
