publication on the VKontakte social network of a text signed as "Ishbuldy Әbәlilbash" and dedicated to the closure of the Institute of Humanitarian Studies in Ufa, which was engaged in researching the history of Bashkir clans, and the opening of a branch of the Shigabutdin Marjani Tatar Institute there. Shigabutdin Marjani: the author of the text accused the Tatars in harsh terms of the collapse of Bashkir culture; the text was accompanied by a photograph of a page from a book with an extract from the poem "Light of Hearts" belonging to the 16th-century poet Mukhamedyar; the fragment of the poem contains invectives against the Golden Horde Tatars

Full summary
In February 2017, the flat of Sagit Ismagilov, an activist of the Bashkir national movement, and the office of the Bashkort organization were searched and system units and books with religious content were seized. Ismagilov was accused of incitement to hatred for a publication on the VKontakte social network. On 18 October he was sentenced to a fine of 320,000 rubles. On 21 December, the Supreme Court of the Republic confirmed the sentence but reduced the fine to 100 thousand. On 7 February 2019, the verdict was cancelled.
