Vladimir Ivanyutenko

Vladimir Ivanyutenko is a regular participant of protest actions in St. Petersburg. On 19 February 2019, he was searched at his home, then questioned by the Investigative Committee, after which he was detained near a metro station, charged with disorderly conduct. Throughout the day on 20 February, his close ones did not know where he was. On 21 February, he was taken into custody by court order on a criminal case on possession of explosives. The court refused to postpone the hearing until the arrival of a lawyer by agreement. Ivanyutenko was on hunger strike in custody.

Some pro-government publications reported that Ivanyutenko was also accused of preparing an assassination attempt on businessman Yevgeniy Prigozhin, who was close to Putin.

On 7 February 2020, he was sentenced to three and a half years in a penal colony. On 2 October, the appeal court overturned the verdict, returned the case to the court of first instance and replaced the preventive measure with a ban on certain actions. On 3 March 2022, the court of first instance sentenced Ivanyutenko to three years and two months in a penal colony, but taking into account the time spent in custody, considered the sentence served.
