Case summary

Kagirov was detained and taken into custody in June 2015 on suspicion of involvement in the activities of Hizb ut-Tahrir as part of a criminal case on the activities of a terrorist organization. Kagirov admitted involvement in Hizb ut-Tahrir, but refused to admit that he had participated in the activities of a terrorist organization. On 17 August, he was sentenced to five years of imprisonment in a general regime colony.

Kagirov was released in June 2020.
