Case summary

A Kemerovo resident, host of the blog "Don't Be Inert" on YouTube, dedicated to violations by officials and law enforcers. On 28 April 2020, together with co-host Maxim Lavrentiev, he participated in a raid to combat improper parking. Between the activists and the driver of one of the parked cars there was a conflict. According to the investigation, Kamensky sprayed pepper gas from a canister in the direction of the female passenger, while there are no women on the video that captured the conflict. In June, he was charged with hooliganism in connection with the incident. On 28 June Kamensky was taken into custody. On 14 November he was transferred to house arrest.

In February 2021, Kamensky was also charged with incitement to hatred as a member of an organised group set up to discredit law enforcers.

Later it became known that Kamensky was also charged with intentional infliction of harm to health from hooligan motives with the use of weapons.

Kamensky and his lawyer have signed a non-disclosure agreement.

On 16 August 2024, he was sentenced to five years in a penal colony.
