Case summary

Former policeman from Yaroslavl. He is currently outside Russia. On 9 March 2022, a case was opened against him for disseminating knowingly false information about the Russian Armed Forces. In May 2022, he was declared wanted and arrested in absentia. Later it became known that his bank accounts were seized. Interpol refused to fulfil the Russian Federation's request for Kashintsev's extradition. On 27 January 2023, the court sentenced him in absentia to eight years in prison and deprivation of rank. In March 2024, the former policeman was included in the register of "foreign agents".
