Case summary
He was arrested on June 28, 2017. On December 7, 2018, the Orekhovo-Zuyevo City Court of the Moscow Region found Kiroev guilty of participating in the activities of an extremist organization (Part 2 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code) and sentenced him to two years and two months in a general regime penal colony with a six-month restriction of freedom. In 2019, after his release from prison, he was stripped of his Russian citizenship and deported from the country.
