Case summary
Head of the Society for the Defence of the Internet. In May 2022, recognised as a "foreign agent". In January 2023, it became known that he was prosecuted for calls for extremist activity because of a comment calling on Ukrainian servicemen not to take Rosgvardia officers prisoner. In August 2024, an asterisk appeared next to Klimarev's surname in the List of Extremists and Terrorists of Rosfinmonitoring, which means that a case was opened against Klimarev under the terrorist article.
