On 31 January 2021, he was detained and taken to the Krasnogvardeysky District Police Department of St. Petersburg. There he allegedly "insulted the district commissioner Demenkova E.E. with coarse profanity". The investigation believes that by doing so Oleg "humiliated her honour and dignity as a representative of the authorities, ... and also undermined the credibility of the authorities in the face of society".

Full summary
He is a history teacher by education, works as a translator and also teaches Italian to children. Before the pandemic, he travelled a lot.
Spent eight days in administrative detention after a rally in support of Alexei Navalny on 31 January 2021. On 8 February he was detained after leaving the special reception centre. Klimchuk was taken to the Investigative Committee for questioning in a criminal case of insulting a representative of the authorities, after which he was released on his own recognisance.
On 15 December he was sentenced to a fine of 20 thousand rubles.
