Case summary

Resident of Smolensk. On 5 October 2021, Komandirov's home was searched and he was detained, after which the court ordered to take him into custody as part of the case of justification of terrorism. The reason was the publication of the video "Judge Gramm" with a mock trial of Putin, his press secretary Dmitry Peskov and Rosneft chairman Igor Sechin. On 30 November, after his detention was extended, Komandirov went on hunger strike, demanding a non-custodial measure of restraint. On 9 December, he ended his hunger strike.

At the end of March 2022, during a court hearing on the appeal against the change of preventive measure, Komandirov learned that the Investigative Committee had opened three more criminal cases against him - under the article on the rehabilitation of Nazism (part 4 of article 354.1 of the Criminal Code), on incitement to hatred (paragraph "a", part 2 of article 282 of the Criminal Code) and on insulting a representative of the authorities (article 319 of the Criminal Code).

On 28 July he was sentenced to six years in a general regime colony.
