Case summary
On 12 May 2020, Kobeleva's home was searched. On 8 March 2021, the information appeared about the initiation of criminal proceedings for participation and involvement in the activities of an extremist organisation. On 10 March, a recognisance not to leave was taken. Later the charge was reclassified to organising the activities of an extremist organisation. Initially, Kobeleva was on trial together with several other people, including her own son, Sergei Kobelev. However, on 5 August, her case was singled out for separate proceedings due to her serious illness. On 20 October 2022, she was sentenced to six years' suspended sentence.
