Case summary
A resident of the Bryansk region. In April 2023 he was detained by border guards. At that time it was reported that he had illegally crossed the border and had also previously set fire to a military recruitment centre in Novoshakhtinsk (Rostov region). He was placed in custody on charges of attempted illegal border crossing. Later he was also charged with attempted treason – according to the investigation, he was going to fight in the ranks of the "Russian Volunteer Corps". On 11 January 2024 Kolistratov was sentenced to eight years in a strict regime penal colony.
