Case summary

A resident of Tolyatti, an employee of a company renting out sports and tourist equipment. He had peviously taken part in protest actions. On 28 September, Korshunov was taken into custody on charges of arson of the military recruitment office, he pleaded guilty. The publication "Bloknot-Samara" reported that Korshunov cited protest against mobilisation as the motive for his actions. Initially it was reported that Korshunov was charged under Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code, but later it became clear that he was accused of committing a terrorist act that caused significant property damage or other serious consequences (subparagraph "c" of Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code), and of vandalism on political grounds (Part 2 of Article 214 of the Criminal Code). On 1 July 2024, Korshunov was sentenced to 13 years in a strict regime colony.
