Case summary

A resident of Moscow, director of a travel company "Men Travel". On 28 November 2024, they came to him with a search. According to him, the law enforcment officers were about 15 people, he was beaten, and they looked through personal information in his phone. A case was initiated against Kotov for participation in the activities of an extremist organisation. According to the investigation, he organised tourist trips for LGBTQ+ couples. On 2 December he was placed in custody. On 5 December it became known that he was sent to the punishment cell. He was also charged with manufacturing child pornography. On 29 December 2024, Kotov died - according to the official version, he committed suicide.
