In May 2020, it became known that a case had been brought against Kruglov. He was charged with rehabilitation of Nazism. Kruglov pleaded guilty. Later it became known that Kruglov was accused of attempted rehabilitation of Nazism. On 18 September he was sentenced to a fine of 120 thousand rubles.
