Case summary

He is a resident of Vsevolozhsk (the Leningrad region). On 28 October 2022, he was taken into custody on charges of damaging a monument or memorial structure commemorating those who died in defence of the Fatherland or its interests. The charge was then reclassified to vandalism motivated by political hatred, and the court changed his preventive measure to a ban on certain actions. Then the charge was again reclassified to desecration of symbols of military glory and damage to property (Part 1 of Article 167 of the Criminal Code). On 20 December 2023, Kudryashov was sentenced to a fine of 1,400,000 rubles; presumably, he was found guilty only under the article on desecration of symbols.
