Case summary

On 27 April 2017, a case was opened on the use of violence against Senior Sergeant of patrol service Aleksandr Petrunin during the dispersal of the anti-corruption protest on March 26: allegedly, an unknown person grabbed him by the third finger of his left hand, causing physical pain. On May 15, Kukushkin was fined under the charge on participation in an unauthorized protest. On June 26, he was charged with using violence against Petrunin, dangerous to life and health: now it was a question of pushing Petrunin in the chest and twisting his hand, which led to a closed fracture of the finger. Kukushkin pleaded guilty and agreed to a special order of proceeding. On July 12, the court sentenced him to three years' suspended sentence.
