Case summary
A resident of Lipetsk, he was detained no later than February 2023. He reported torture. He was taken into custody on charges of preparing to participate in the activities of an illegal armed formation. It later became known that he was also charged with inducing another person to participate in an illegal armed formation and preparing for such inducement, as well as preparing for high treason. According to the initial version of the investigation, Kulikov planned to join the "Freedom of Russia" legion, and prior to that, at the direction of "curators" from that group, he was to arrange arson at the airfield. However, the narrative seems to have changed later. On April 2, 2024, he was sentenced to nine years in a high-security colony. The appellate court reduced his sentence by two months.
