On 26 June 2019, detained after a search and taken into custody on 28 June on charges of involvement in an extremist organisation. On 25 December, transferred to house arrest. On 20 February 2020, the preventive measure was changed to a ban on certain actions. On 13 March 2026, Kuzin was sentenced to six and a half years in a general regime colony.
