Case summary

Ukrainian serviceman. Captured no later than April 2022. A case was brought against him and eight other servicemen for the murder of two persons on the grounds of hatred and enmity against a social group, as well as the use of prohibited means and methods in an armed conflict: according to the investigation, they shelled residential houses in the occupied territory of the Donetsk region of Ukraine. On 20 December 2023, Kuzmenko was sentenced in this case to 25 years in a strict regime colony. (We do not anilise this case). A case was also brought against him for participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation due to his involvement in the activities of the Azov battalion. In March 2026, the case went to court.
