Case summary
Resident of Chita. On 9 March 2010, he was detained during a religious meeting at a mosque. The next day a case was opened against him for organising activities of an extremist organisation due to his involvement in the activities of the Islamic movement Tablighi Jamaat. Its adherents are persecuted solely because of their religious activities. On 17 August 2010, Kydyraliev was sentenced to one and a half years' suspended sentence.
