Mira Lushchaeva

Transgender woman, creator of an anti-war Telegram channel. On 2 August 2023, the flat where Lushchayeva lived with her girlfriend was searched by FSB officers. Both were taken for questioning. On the same day, Dmitry Kozlov, a witness in the case of Alexander Snezhkov and Lyubov Lizunova, was questioned in the FSB building: he told the Taiga newspaper that the law enforcers showed him two detained transgender women (presumably Lushchaeva and her girlfriend) and told him that if he beat them up, he would not be imprisoned; Kozlov refused. The next day they were taken to the FSB again, supposedly to return the seized equipment. Instead, however, the law enforcers confiscated the couple's passports. Lushchaeva was given a recognizance not to leave. In October 2023, an asterisk appeared next to Lushchaeva's surname on Rosfinmonitoring's list of extremists and terrorists, the same asterisk that is placed next to the names of those prosecuted under terrorist articles.
