Case summary
In July 2019, Manushakyan's home was searched as part of a case on the activities of an extremist organisation in connection with his involvement with the Jehovah's Witnesses community. A preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions was chosen. On December 13th, 2022, Manushakyan died.
Members of the Jehovah's Witnesses community are prosecuted under extremist articles solely for religious activities: holding meetings and worship services, and recruiting new supporters.
