Case summary

On 20 April 2018, Mikhailov's home, where he lived with his wife, was searched. On 29 May, he was arrested on charges of participation and financing the activities of an extremist organisation. On 15 November, he was released from the pre-trial detention centre on his own recognisance. On 16 September 2021, the court returned the case to the prosecutor's office. On 29 January 2024, Mikhailov was sentenced to a fine of 950 thousand rubles.
