Case summary
Resident of the city of Kstovo (Nizhny Novgorod region). On 2 July 2024, his home was searched as part of a case on the activities of an extremist organisation in connection with his involvement with the Jehovah's Witnesses community. Representatives of this community are prosecuted under extremist articles solely for religious activities: meetings, joint worship services, and attracting new supporters. Miholap was detained and then taken into custody the next day.
