Case summary
On the night of 16th to 17th January 2019, a search took place at the home of Artem Milushkin and Liya Milushkina. Both were detained on charges of drug trafficking, on 18th January the court decided to place Liya Milushkina under house arrest. Observers note that the search was formally conducted in a different case, drugs were not found. On 10th January 2020, the case was sent for the further investigation. On 8th October, house arrest was replaced by a ban on certain actions.
On 13th August 2021, she was sentenced to ten and a half years in a general regime colony with a three-year suspended sentence.
On 27 April 2024, Milushkina's sentence was commuted to one and a half years of correctional labour.
