Case summary
A resident of Aginskoye settlement (Zabaikalsky Krai), engaged in construction projects. On 28 August 2025, he was detained at work; according to him, he was handcuffed and had a bag put over his head, taken towards a river or forest, strangled with the bag, beaten on the head. Then they took him to the local police station, where, according to him, there is a separate entrance for the FSB. Here he was forced to say on video that he transferred money to Alexei Navalny's organization, but realised that he was mistaken. In addition to the interrogation protocol, a paper was drawn up stating that Mitupov had no complaints in connection with the detention. On 1 September 2025, a criminal case of financing extremist activities was opened against him.
