Anna Mongait

The reason for the criminal prosecution was publications on Mongait's Telegram channel in April 2022 and July 2023, where she wrote about Russian attacks on Odessa. Mongait's posts spoke about the killing of Ukrainian civilians and the strike on the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Saviour. Later, new episodes appeared in the case: an announcement of a stream with Rabbi Motl Gordon and Bishop of the Apostolic Orthodox Church Grigorii Mikhnov-Vaitenko (the investigation considered that the post negatively assessed Mikhnov-Vaitenko's attitude toward the war); reflections on Trump's negotiations with Putin; commentary on the announcement of Putin's speech, whose new statements were supposed to "blow up the American evening prime time" (according to the investigation, with the words "How many times can you blow up everything!" Mongait negatively and emotionally assessed the verb "blow up" in a literal, not figurative sense).
