Case summary

Resident of Moscow. Evaded conscription for four years, in connection with which he was fined 40,000 roubles in 2021. Detained in Bryansk in October 2023, arrested for 11 days under an administrative article on drug use. After his release, according to the investigation, he tried to cross the border illegally, was detained and taken into custody. A case was opened against him for attempted participation in a terrorist organisation, attempted illegal border crossing and attempted state treason. On June 26, 2024, Morozov was sentenced to 12 years in a strict regime colony.
