Case summary

Resident of Ufa. In November 2017, it became known that a case on calls to extremism was opened against Mulyukov in connection with his speech at the rally against corruption on 12 June, organised by Navalny's headquarters. In February 2019, he was sentenced to a two-year suspended sentence.

In September 2021, it became known that a case was opened against Mulyukov for participation in the activities of an extremist community in connection with the activities of various structures of Alexei Navalny. A press release from the Investigative Committee named Mulyukov as a member of Navalny's HQ, although he had no connection to its structures; it also mentioned his speech in Ufa on 12 June 2017, which was the reason for the previous criminal case. On 9 November 2021, Mulyukov's home was searched. The next day, he was interrogated, and his signature on recognizance not to leave was taken. Later it became known that Mulyukov is under house arrest. Then there was information that a measure of restraint in the form of a ban on certain actions was chosen against him. On 15 March 2023, Mulyukov was again placed under house arrest due to missing a court hearing - on that day he was undergoing dialysis. On 23 March, Mulyukov was again replaced house arrest with a ban on certain actions.

On 14 June 2023, Mulyukov was sentenced to two and a half years in a general regime colony. He did not appear at the announcement of the verdict. On 7 November 2023, after the appeal court left the sentence unchanged, Mulyukov was taken into custody in the courtroom.

On 13 November 2023, Mulyukov's lawyer submitted a petition to the Leninsky District Court for the immediate release of his client from serving his sentence due to his serious illness requiring regular hemodialysis. According to the lawyer, his illness is included in the list of diseases approved by a decree of the Government of the Russian Federation that prevent serving a sentence.

Mulyukov stated in court that his condition, despite the fact that he is taken to hemodialysis procedures, is worsening in the colony.

On 12 November 2024, the court decided to release Mulyukov for health reasons.
