Case summary
A Ukrainian serviceman from Kherson region, southern Ukraine. He was captured in May 2022. A criminal case was opened against him for alleged participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation, due to his service in the "Azov" battalion, where he had served since 2015. The case was sent to court in December 2025. On 28 January 2026, Nasonov was sentenced to 20 years in a strict regime penal colony.
