Case summary
A student of Kazan Federal University, he was a minor at the time of the prosecution. No later than early February 2024, he was prosecuted for incitement to hatred and offending state symbols because of a torn Russian flag. On 11 December 2024, he was sentenced, details unknown. On 31 January 2025, the court of appeal changed the sentence, according to the press office of the first-instance court, the student was sentenced to two years and five months' imprisonment.
