Case summary
Resident of Moscow, citizen of a foreign state. On 8 August 2025, it became known that he had been taken into custody on charges of organising the activities of a terrorist organisation in connection with his involvement in the activities of the Islamic party Hizb ut-Tahrir. According to a number of experts, it was unjustifiably recognised as a terrorist organisation, as there is no evidence that it or any of its members were involved in the commission of terrorist acts.
