Case summary
Resident of Moscow, citizen of a foreign state. On August 8th, 2025, it became known that he was taken into custody on charges of organising the activities of a terrorist organisation in connection with his involvement in the activities of the Islamic party Hizb ut-Tahrir. According to a number of experts, it was unjustifiably named as a terrorist organisation, as there is no evidence that it or any of its members were involved in commission of terrorist acts.
