Case summary
A resident of Karachay-Cherkessia. On 9 August 2024, her home was searched. It was later revealed that a case had been opened against her for participation in the activities of an extremist organization due to her involvement in the Jehovah's Witnesses community. Members of this community are prosecuted under extremist laws solely in connection with religious activities: holding meetings and worship services, and recruiting new members.
On 29 December 2025, the court sentenced Ogoreva to a two-year suspended sentence.
