Case summary

A resident of Kineshma (Ivanovo region). On 23 November 2021, he was searched, after which he was detained and placed in a pre-trial detention center the next day as part of a case involving the organisation of extremist activities. On 17 February 2022, Okhapkin was transferred to house arrest, and on 14 July the measure of restraint was changed to a ban on certain actions. On 13 August 2024, Okhapkin was sentenced to a fine of 700,000 rubles, but the court decided to reduce the amount to 540,000 rubles, taking into account the time spent under various measures of restraint, and also the possibility to pay the fine to be paid in installments over two years.
