Case summary

Detained on 19 April 2018 and arrested on 23 April on charges of organising activities of an extremist organisation. On 18 January 2019 he was transferred to house arrest. The charge was reclassified from organisation to participation in the activities of an extremist organisation. In March, he was released on his own recognizance.

On 12 November, the court returned the case to the prosecutor's office. On 16 December 2020, the court of cassation instance returned the case to the court of first instance. On 1 June 2022, the court of first instance sentenced Osadchuk to six years' suspended sentence.
