Case summary

A resident of Kazan. In August 2025, a case was brought against her for public desecration of symbols of Russia's military glory because she lit a cigarette from the Eternal Flame for two days in a row. The case was ordered personally by the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin. On 27 November 2025, Panteleeva was sentenced to a fine of 40,000 rubles and ordered to undergo compulsory outpatient psychiatric treatment.
