On 21 November 2018, Parfentiev's home was searched. On 12 December 2019, a case was opened on the activities of an extremist organisation; Parfentiev was suspected of participating in its activities. On 31 May 2022, the prosecution against him was terminated. In July 2023, it became known that Parfentiev died.
